Weekly What's-on-my-desk: June 29th 2021
Hey all, long time no blog!
Getting back into the swing of things after a long hiatus to catch up on pre-orders. One of the things on my to-do list is to give you a weekly round-up post here on the blog with my goals/what I’m working on each week.
This week I’m juggling a pretty large load as I finish up the remaining pre-orders from Jackalope Season. What I’m working on 6/29-7/4:
Photograph the Fairy Jackalopes for this weekend’s release! They are all finished, but I still need to take and edit photos and prep the listings. The Early Creature Release for you all will be happening Friday at 12pm pst this week. I know its a weird time slot, working with the holiday weekend has things thrown off a bit.
Send out the newsletter! We’re going to start having a bi-monthly newsletter just for club members that focuses on updating y’all about what’s new on this blog PLUS the regular bi-monthly newsletter that goes out before Creature releases. I just have to you know…get organized…
Mail a couple pre-orders/layaways who have been patiently waiting to go home.
Finish Mandy’s Demon-lope!
Finish Ash’s two black-tailed jackrabbit ‘Lopes. These two are the first of the big jackalope orders heading home, Emily’s Blue-and-gold ‘lopes will follow next week!
Nadine’s Ice Kirin will be getting finished as well. So many pre-orders wrapping up finally.
Post the first installment of Jackalope Research Notes. Trying to get back into making one research post a week from here on out.
Clean up the website and blog a bit, maybe make some new graphics. I’m going to change the name of this blog to Moss and Moonshine, which is the name I want to eventually transition the Menagerie into over the next year. For now, it’ll be the name of our behind-the-scenes blog!
Sculpt/paint the rainbow mushroom drakes. This is lowest priority for me, and they might not make the cut for the Creature Release this weekend. If I don’t get ‘em done in time, I’ll release them next weekend instead. It’s only going to be 3 drakes at $100 each.
Anyhoo, I hope everyone survived the heatwave this past weekend, and your week is off to a good start. I’m happy to be back in the blogging saddle, and looking forward to having a busy July here with all of you!
Stay tuned for the posts about the Indian Ringneck Gryphon plans, and the details about the Fairy jackalope Release happening this Friday at 12pm pst.
